Pharos Solutions is looking for a “Business Development Manager” with the following requirements

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in expanding our market presence and driving sustainable growth through strategic outreach and relationship building. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of our value proposition and a keen ability to identify and engage with potential clients.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead Generation: Generate new qualified leads by understanding our unique value proposition, business models, and target audience.
  • Target Identification: Define target groups and key contact persons/positions within organizations to enhance outreach efforts.
  • Outreach Campaigns: Plan and execute outreach campaigns through various channels, ensuring effective communication of our offerings.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to gather insights and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Sales Meetings: Manage and conduct online and in-person sales meetings to effectively present our services and solutions.
  • Event Participation: Attend industry events and exhibitions to network and promote our brand.
  • Platform Management: Identify and manage profiles on relevant platforms (e.g., Clutch) to enhance our visibility and reputation.
  • Sales Message Refinement: Collaborate with the marketing team to refine sales messages, marketing materials, and presentations based on customer feedback and market trends.
  • Partnership Development: Build and nurture strategic partnerships to expand our service offerings.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners, identifying upselling opportunities within existing customer agreements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize business processes.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry developments and competitors’ activities to identify potential threats and opportunities.

Must have:

  • BSc/MSc in Business/Finance or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience, preferably with exposure to the European market.
  • Strong understanding of software solutions and familiarity with concepts such as USP, SWOT analysis, and competitive landscape.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proven team player with a strong cultural fit and shared values of honesty and integrity.
  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or related field.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and planning skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of the software industry and relevant technologies.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet business objectives.
  • Motivation and a proactive attitude toward achieving targets.
  • Fluency in English (additional languages such as German and French would be a plus).
